Dear students,

Following the major earthquake on April 3rd and the subsequent aftershocks, some of the equipment and facilities in our student dormitories have been severely damaged. The university is actively engaged in post-disaster inspections, debris removal, and repair operations. We understand that students are very concerned about the dormitories and the follow-up disposal operations. However, due to the extensive damage and the time required for repairs, we must wait for evaluations by professionals before we can make appropriate plans and operations, which will be announced along with the latest compliance and precautions. Considering educational and safety factors, the university has adopted online classes until April 26th (Friday).

With the recent frequent aftershocks, we remind students to take immediate shelter in case of a perceptible earthquake and "Drop, Cover, and Hold On." The university is currently inspecting, cataloging, and urgently repairing the damage. During this period, students with personal needs regarding on-campus accommodation can refer to the current situation of each dormitory area for further evaluation and planning.

[West Area Dormitories] Severe Damage
Dormitory 3 A & B: Ceiling damage on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, and misalignment of plumbing and bathroom facilities.
Dormitory 1: Unstable water supply, and No water heating
Dormitory 2 & 4: Unstable hot water supply.
[East Area Dormitories] Minor Damage
Dormitory 5, 6 & 7: Some facilities have been gradually repaired.

If students have special reasons or need to return to the dormitories to organize their belongings, please pay attention to personal safety and take protective measures. If there are any issues or needs during the return to school, such as inability to stay in the dormitory, adjustment of dormitory beds, repairs, etc., students can directly contact the dormitory manager or the Student Living Services Division for inquiries. The student dormitories will be adjusted on a rolling basis and the latest news will be released. Please pay attention to the updates, and thank you for your cooperation!
